The life of Siegfried Sassoon
I loved his Memoirs of a fox hunting man and Memoirs of an Infantry Officer .
This film shows the difference on how soldiers were treated in WW1
Sassons letter to the high command condemning the conduct of the war could have lead to him being court martialed and shot.
As a connected officier he was sent to a hospital for nervous mental health .
While boys with shell shock were being shot at dawn .
Sassoon was aware of this and was disgusted at being differentiated because of his class .
