I listened to this video and am none the wiser as to what it’s about. It sounds like Greg James had to take a health and safety form to someone via boat to get the radio station turned back on. He missed the deadline by 5 minutes so the radio went silent for 5 minutes.
Any one know what this was about? Was it a joke?
It was a “game” - I think they set a silly challenge every Summer.
Greg James was challenged to find all the other Radio 1 DJs who were “in hiding” around the country, with the help of clues and the help of his listeners.
I think it was a bit of daily fun for a week - he had a deadline to find them all or he was “threatened” that his show would go off air. Molly was the last one to be found and he hadn’t found her by the deadline, so the Radio transmission stopped for a few minutes, as if the Show had gone off air.
