Australia is going backwards

Major Corporations continuing to gouge the public whilst raking in billions in profits.
Insurance companies failing to payout in a timely manner.
Businesses not having their customers needs as a priority.
Housing becoming unavailable. Landlords evicting residents so they can raise the rent.
Immigration intake being raised to 235,000.
Politicians getting away with rape and corruption.
Lucky Country? Fallen by the wayside along with senior citizens living in cars and tents.

Sounds familiar

No different to anywhere else. What has surprised me is that the many natural resources here are being exploited by foreign countries.I don’t understand the Australian government encouraging them to do that.

Our Governments have been piss weak. Things are starting to change but we will never have complete control of our resources

Bah and humbug :no_mouth:

The Libs are scared stiff of it so there must be potential for it to actually effect the plans of their money making friends.

the exensive court report has come out on Robodebt - OMG the findings are horrendous and damages will be sought in courts!!

Scotty from marketing 's ugly face appears again,I see.Doing “God’s work”.

The same could be said by critics about any country the difference being only of degree. It needs to be put into perspective by stating what the reasons for this development are and who would provide which alternative.

I will be writing to the Liberal Party stating to expect some members being charged with involuntary manslaughter for the untold number of suicides this policy caused.

exactly - if that is the prime christian acts of a born again pentecostal blob then God help the rest of us cos the pentecostals wont. His wife should be ashamed of him as should his two daughters - a plug for christianity - yeas down the plug!!

Just came across this. There’s a recent study suggesting that Australia is going forward and ranks it the second best country in the world due to its smoothly functioning state. Interestingly, the best country is not a democracy. (See table on page 3-4)

The lived experience of life long residents gives a more thorough insight of what it is like to live here.
Comparisons with other countries really do not do it justice.
Many, many Australian born residents are being left behind and thrown on the scrap heap with no one in their corner to fight for them.

Certainly. Nothing beats lived experience but it’s a restricted view as well.

and you have clear evidence of this not just anecdotal??

Clear evidence of what?
Our homeless problem is growing daily. People are being evicted in large numbers.
Single mothers living in cars. Elderly people becoming homeless
Housing estates being knocked down for developers to build more expensive accommodation.
People above 50 years old struggling to find employment.
It is rife if one wants to look but most people avert their eyes, don’t see it, not happening.

yea but ya could just be makin all of that up ?? - got on stats??
