I was more of a people watcher than participator. Never drawing attention to myself. Slunked off when I’d had enough.
i will quite happily join in as long as its not for me, i hate birthday parties when they all sing… they sing the same song in India, but it has about three verses and the sing them all…
I love watching people wherever i go,be it a party or shopping.
Not a lover of parties,i only go to family gatherings which i do enjoy.
I’m a people watcher - I like to blend into the background and watch others. I don’t like parties and avoid them at all costs! I prefer being with my close family in an informal situation.
I must admit there was a wedding reception or something in a village pub in which I had a plate of the food and took a glass of wine for a walk through the pretty village and along the banks of a river. Obviously I returned to the gathering but I’m not the sort of person who enjoys standing and jawing for ages.
I generally participate in conversations and add to the fun. As for being a wall flower, if I don’t think I’ll enjoy the group, I simply don’t attend the event.
I used to organise parties for family friends myself , loved the fun and flair, welcoming people with open arms, lovely food , pimms or mulled wine , but sadly I’ve lost my sparkle I don’t know when or where it went . I’ve tried looking for it but it’s hidden itself away sadly or maybe burned itself out . Me thinks life got in the way and what once seemed exciting and bright no longer feels that way . Its a shame really it was fun while it lasted but I no longer want to do it all again and strangely enough no one I know seems to want to have parties or can be bothered.
Ah well that’s life I guess
At parties I like to dance but I’m never the first on the dance floor.
I suppose I’m introverted extrovert yes
I dont like crowds
I don’t like crowds either. Even in a shop, I like to be straight in and out again. Often I didn’t buy anything but have to leave. I find online shopping much easier.
Yes I know what you mean susan I used to love big family parties but it all seems such a fuss now. I still have my kids and their family but all the neices nephews etc…I can’t face it.
The circle of pals gets smaller as you get older so we just go to pubs for meals rather than parties…we are all old fogies now
I can only face moderate crowds if I’ve got a pint in my hand!
I quite to have a short chat to folks.
Very much a ‘used to be’ situation with me and Mrs mart. We don’t have parties or go to them now. Never left out of the invitation list when younger. We still have gatherings at Birthdays with a ‘0’ at the end but they have become quieter with each passing one.
It’s amazing how more attractive and interesting people are after I’ve had a few drinks.
I am definitely not the life of the party. I’m not a wallflower either. I’m in between.

Love it Mart…
Buy me a couple of lagers and you will be throwing me out half way through the night…
Happy days (sigh) - take me back. I still enjoy my beer though.
