Well if you start a thread asking for ghost stories, I could fill it. I used to live on the Isle of Wight -
The Isle of Wight: The world’s MOST haunted island! Many thousands of ghosts, spirits, poltergeists and apparitions haunt the Isle of Wight - which is acknowleged as the world’s most haunted island.

Hi Dianne, I couldn’t see anything in the listings that looked like that but I have seen programmes like it. Some you have to take with a big pinch of salt, like some of the people I’ve met, but I’ve heard, seen and felt lots of things that I just can’t explain other than by believing there is something other wordly to it. The closest I have ever come to a ghostly experience happened back in the late 50s. I was on an overnight cycle ride along with four other teenage mates. We were riding slowly, all standing up from the saddles, on a very steep hill. It was pitch dark with no street lighting riding a two, two, one pattern and not a breath of wind or breeze at all. We were all suddenly aware that there was something among us. We saw nothing but all felt the same feeling as though something brushed against us. We said nothing but got up that hill as though our lives depended on it. As soon as we reached street lighting we stopped and I remember saying " What the F–k was that? We carried on and eventually reached Portsmouth, our destination which meant we were going to sleep under upturned boats or whatever cover we found. Needless to say we we so glad when the sun came up that morning. All completely true I assure you.
I’ve never encountered a ghost, at least as not as far as I know. I suppose it would very much depend on the type of apparatiion if that makes sense? If it was something profoundly malevolent and evil then yes, I’d be bloody well terrified, who wouldn’t?
