Yes, She is OK thanks. It was some spinal injections to deaden pain. She was 4th on the list and we got home just in time for Bargain Hunt.
Oh you put me to shame! I definitely need a minimum of 8 hours sleep a night and rarely get up before 8,30, then take another couple of hours before being ready for anything.
4 am with the dog unless it’s very cold or wet.2C one day this week and if I did go out then I would have been on my own.
Are we prepared for the morning? Ready Steady Go
Always had a job requiring an early start, even at school I had an early morning paper round, so now I’m retired it’s no different. Up around six a.m. and after a mug of fruit tea I make the bed and do the toilet stuff (set the clock with my bowels) and I’m out before 7:00am either biking (Sunday and Thursday) or walking/jogging out in the country. I consider early morning is the best time of the day, so peaceful, usually…A good time to organise the rest of the day, or give yesterday a post mortem…
Oh! did I mention that I’m always in bed for ten thirty after a cup of hot water. I need plenty of sleep and I never remember the room going dark after I turn out the light…
Oh how lovely to be like that but I wouldn’t enjoy the hot water!
I’m a night owl so it’s very unusual if I’m up before 9am. When I do wake up I’m instantly awake though. My wife needs quiet time for about an hour after waking up so she sits alone in the kitchen where she can’t hear me snoring .
I go to bed about 11:30 or so, read for a bit then lights out and asleep 2 minutes after.
Sleep soundly until about 7:30 am, then laze a few minutes, up by 8 am.I am blessed to sleep so well, but there are no naps at all for me during the day, nor a snooze in the recliner before bedtime. I’m either up or down…for the night.
I guess I’m a creature of habit having to go to bed the same time every day of my working life and a year into my retirement, I still roughly follow the same sleep patterns. The only exception is if I have to get up early for something or go to bed late, usually because of something on the telly, or I simply can’t sleep for some reason.
After I wake up, I can only self-start when I’ve had my coffee first thing, otherwise I sometimes tend to be a bit grouchy otherwise.
Come on, all you early self starters
Nice Mug Shot
Inspired by you industrious lot as I get up at 5.30 I decided to take the dog out paint a masterpiece or two catch up with my paperwork all before 8.00 am.
Alas it’s heaving down with rain , dark as hades and i loathe paperwork at the best of times so am doing what I usually do drinking coffee and having toast .
How I hate this British weather .
The weather is a big deciding factor today, if its Faff or fruitful.
Gosh, I’m pleased she is okay(ish) as my wife has spinal problems too with galloping osteoporosis + 4 damaged vertebrae and needs almost constant watching for potential falls etc. As husbands, we must do all that we can👍
I would rather ‘suffer’ the British weather than live somewhere the environment can become aggressively hostile at short notice.
I read somewhere that a drink of water before bed can prevent dehydration during the night which can lead to heart attacks and strokes notahasbeen…After two heart attacks already I would drink a mugful of diesel if I thought it would help…
That would have you firing on all cylinders again.
Depends…if I’m off somewhere I can be up at a daft hour no problem at all
But if I’m not I can lounge in bed until nineish!
