I grew up in the 80’s

So a lot of the bands I’ve seen on the forum I’m familiar with
Def Leppard,Judas Priest…who as you know did quite well especially in the US
I actually saw Judas Priest in 2012 at the Hammersmith Apollo ,great atmosphere as it was a quite small venue for JP,even at over 60 years old Rob Halford can still scream the house down.

For the life of me I can’t remember the acronym that was used to described that era of heavy metal music in the 80’s.

Was the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal if I recall correctly.

I’m that bit older than you so most of my music comes from the 70s. Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, wishbone Ash etc. Used to see loads of them when I lived in Portsmouth. Used to be so easy to get tickets.

Don’t go to gigs as often as I’d like. Have Rammstein next year at Cardiff’s Rugby stadium.

Yes I just Googled it NWOBHM.
The 70’s were great too as a lot of the bands that formed in the 80’s cited a lot of bands from the 70’s as their influence.
Rammstein great band,hopefully once we are free from Covid I’ll start going to gigs again…I’ve been to Wacken,Ozzfest and Donnington before it changed it’s name to MOR and got all commercial.
Rock in Rio is one festival I would love to go to.
