Anyone here watch / enjoy Two Fat Ladies?

I watch reruns and love the show as just like their personalities and love their cooking .

Was surprised to find out they did not particularly like each other .

Being the Yank that I am I had no idea till saw it on the tele as they say in UK few minutes ago .

" The Two Fat Ladies? They LOATHED each other: So says one of their closest friends, in this fascinating insight into the much-loved double act’’
’ Because, away from the cameras, the two weren’t as close as fans would like to think.

Indeed, the picture that has emerged this week, as former friends and colleagues remember the much-loved partnership, is rather less jolly.

One close friend, who knew both women well, even tells the Mail that their jolly bonhomie was purely an act for the cameras, and that the true relationship bubbled away with jealously, resentment and rivalry.

‘They were not friends,’ says PR executive Ian Scott, a long-term confidant of Jennifer, who also became close to Clarissa.

Jennifer in particular couldn’t stand Clarissa and was often quite horrible about her. She’d call her “that dreadful woman”.

'When they filmed together, they were actually put up in different hotels.’

Gosh I had completely forgotten this show. It’s always sad when a professional showbiz pairing ends because one dies. That said, I didn’t relate to this show at the time it was originally broadcast. I did enjoy hair bikers far more and am still sad about Dave dying last year. But perhaps two fat ladies prepared the ground for Dave and Si.

I have satellite tv with all the unusual channels and Two Fat Ladies on all day on one , love it .

I watch a lot of British shows , my favorite is Keeping Up Appearances.

I used to like watching the ladies. But a little put off at times when they’d show stuff like icing falling off the cake and a crooked ringed, nicotine stained finger with lord knows what under under the nails, trying to repair the damage.

Yes we all love red don’t we but I think a palette knife would have done the trick beautifully.

Lol delightful .

They lived by their own rules of frying lettuce in lard while smoking and I loved them for it .

However they could cook and put out some lovely dishes

TV was not PC then and it was beautiful

Two Fat Ladies Cook Lard

Grim!
I wonder if they behaved like that in their own kitchens?

I watched the two fat ladies back when originally broadcast. I’ve even got one their cookbooks somewhere - its not very good. For me, Keith Floyd was the best TV chef - most often drunk but really good cooking. And his cookbook is very reliable with great recipes.

Yep!
I think it must have been broadcast during the school holidays quite early in the morning.
I used to enjoy the programme as I remember.
A bit of a warm up act for White Horses and The Banana Splits…
