Anybody Suffer From Tinnitus?

Does anybody, here, suffer from Tinnitus? I’ve had it since around 1996. Usually, it’s just the typical super-high pitched tone that is continuous. Today, just to be different, my Tinnitus is giving me a nearby river, a nearby stream, a nearby electric fan, a nearby conveyor belt and the high pitched tone added on.

Anybody else have Tinnitus? :grinning:

I have suffered with Tinnitus since 1973, when I was pregnant with my second son. I was diagnosed with Menieres Disease and the tinnitus is the result of that. I am completely deaf in the ear which has tinnitus. Having lived so long with this it has become part of my life and I barely notice it anymore.

Yes and i do believe for ever . I cant remember a time i never lived with the highest pitch of noise whistling and hissing in both my ears . I tune into it to try to lose it , then i tune out and its louder than previously. I love sleep for the peace . I wake and I’m back into the screeching again . I long for peace

The funny thing is that I have had it for many years but it was only when it stopped for a few seconds that I realised I had it. I know it drives some people mad but it doesn’t worry me at all to be honest.

Mine started 20 years ago during cancer treatment, not too bad and I had more to worry about so tried not to focus on it, getting used to it over time

However since using hearing aids a few months ago it has got much worse, especially when I first wake up in the morning, again I’m trying to make light of it, theres far worse I could have, but I would love to get rid of it……

I used to get tinnitus pretty bad, it started in the 70s, I was in my 30s. Now, as I get more & more deaf, it rarely troubles me.
