Anybody know what these flowers are?

We’ve got a lot of these growing along my local hike, and I love the idea of planting native species in my garden - any idea what they are and can I take cuttings or something to plant them in my garden?

They look lovely in vase too - I brought these back from my hike yesterday

Fireweed?

It is known in North America as fireweed and in the British Isles as rosebay willowherb

Nice one Alice!

I think I prefer our name, Rosebay Willowherb

On occasion I have walked past them and there is such an amazing fragrance coming from them (or something near them). I wonder if certain flowers emit strong fragrance at certain times?

We have Fireweed but it is toxic to animals and a weed from Africa. Looks quite different to yours. I am constantly pulling it up.
