Seriously now. I really did buy a slow cooker from Amazon and it was delivered the other day.

I wonder, if anyone has any good/tasty ideas of what l can really cook in it besides stews.
I usually use a pressure cooker for soups and stews, so l am new to using a slow cooker.

You need ginger, dried chilli and wine for your slow cooker to cook the frog for about three hours. Apparently it is very good for you. Eat on a bed of rice, good way to break in your new cooker.

Bruce… Thank You but the Frog part of the thread was my April Fool’s Day joke!

I couldn’t eat a frog!

I don’t think you pommies have much idea about April Fools jokes there is your yummie frog for dinner and who hasn’t eaten frog with a bit of ginger? makes a nice change from toad in the hole. I even provide you with a pic of how delicious they look prepared for dinner.

April Fools jokes are about things that can’t happen

Bruce, I admit the frog in your pic, does look quite chickeny meat looking but… it’s the thought that deters me!

We use ours to make bulk tea in. Far better than a teapot and you can steep for hours on end.

Have a look at these Art, see if any appeal to you.

How many bags do you use? Do you use normal teabags, or decaffeinated ones?
Because it’s a new slow cooker, I don’t want to stain it.
