Any advice on hearing aids?

Does anybody have advice on hearing aids ?

I have some of the usual ones that fit over the back of your ear but wearing varifocal glasses dosnt seem to work with these and I thought I’d look into getting some that fit right in your ear

Do you have them and what are your thoughts ?

The right-inside the ear type caused me nothing but trouble, so now I’ve reverted to the BBE type and the latest NHS supplied Oticon miniRITE suit me fine. I have a matched pair and they do not interfere with the arms of my spectacles

Sue often shouts at me about something or other, so I have no need for a hearing aid.

I’ve got Oticon BTE as well, with the same phone app as pictured in the link.

@Ambre I bought a pair of ITE (in the ear) about 20 years ago, but they weren’t very powerful.

Feedback is the problem, the mic is too close to the speaker.

They say 1 in 7 people are hard of hearing. It is about time money was invested in some serious tech.

Yes, I have the same as you except that I have just the one - the other is completely deaf.

Oticon hearing enhancement devices (hearing aids but it sounds more posher) here also Ambre.
I just bung them in the charger overnight and they last all day…But I only wear them for listening to the telly, music, or special occasions. I wear specs for most things like driving and writing forum posts on my laptop…And providing I put my aids in first, I just hook the arms of my specs over the top, no problem.

I did that as well OldGreyFox but my glasses are varifocals and it seems to upset the balance, I am looking into the ones that fit right into the ear, just checking them out, before I decide

Thanks for all the replies
