Another high cost unfinished project to add to Boris’s growing list of failed
or failing projects such as the Thames footbridge, the crossrail, the
Proposed tunnel to link Gravesend with Southend, the extra runway for
Heathrow, and now predictably HS2 ? Which has had a whole northern
section deleted !!
I suppose we should be grateful some of these ideas never even got off the
ground, but crossrail really should be finished by now, but l see they are
seeking for more government funding to complete the job ??
Oh, l forgot, also Brexit !! Which never GOT DONE after all !!
Donkeyman!
Given the history of Boris Johnson, no one who voted for him can plead ignorance of his ineptness or his lack of integrity/honesty.
@Gee3 , l must agree Gee, l can only plead that as l had newly returned
to UK after living abroad l never knew at first hand about his history, allthough
l was told by others?
And when Nigel Farage withdrew his candidate for my area in the election
It left me no one that supported Brexit to vote for, only Boris !
Who duly did what he is best at !!
I can only say, never again though !!
Donkeyman!
I don’t know much about Boris. I prefer to keep it that way. I would just hope this job affords him enough for a comb or better yet a proper haircut. He looks like a very unfunny cartoon character. Much the way Donald Trump reminded you of an giant Oompa Loompa.
We, in the North, knew this would happen, being cut off from London (not a bad thing in reality). It is now what I always said it would be, just a way for the commuter brigade to get from Birmingham to London.
A pity they didn’t spend the money improving/modernising the LNER line down the East Coast, it would cost a lot less.
@Judd , my thoughts too Judd,
Boris says the money they save by this cancellation will
now be spent on upgrading the rest of the northern system ??
We can say goodbye to the northern power house too imo ??
Donkeyman!
I had great hopes for Boris after his resounding victory in December 2019, but it looks like I’m being disappointed over so many things
You could say that Sleaze is just a part of politics, even though we like to think it shouldn’t be, and the current spat is the continuation of a squabble between politicians that’s been going on for years
But surely the first priority of government by any Party is to protect the country and support its citizens; and in that respect Boris has failed.
The government cannot prevent - obstruction of the Highways by spoiled brats like XR and its spin-offs; the invasion by foreigners, nor deal with them when they arrive; mob rule, and the destruction of property, and widespread rape and violence in our towns & cities
Oh for politicians that actually stand up for the country and the people who have elected them!
As for HS2, anyone could have seen that its purpose is not to make it easier to travel from London to the North & Midlands, but to make it easier to commute from the Midlands into London
That, and the destruction of yet more English countryside
