Hello. I’m 67, married 42 years and still with original husband. Trained (but very out of date and old fashioned) nurse and midwife. Was a carer for 32 years. A few years back I did a creative writing degree through Open University.
We live very quietly, I like knitting and knit all my husbands socks as well as Aran patterns. I do tapestries but find I can’t do the silk ones for long these days, my eyes hurt. Reading has always been a passion for me too.
Following a bereavement when the both of us gained weight alarmingly and also giving up smoking we became morbidly obese. We tried all the diets from Cambridge, right through the alphabet and circled back to Cabbage Soup. Lost a lot of weight, put it all back on again
Since November we have been going to Slimming World I have lost 3 stones and my husband a massive 5.
Looking to get myself healthy again and make new friends on here. If you will have me.
