Jessica Dalgleish, a three-year-old disabled little girl, has been murdered by her mother’s boyfriend by throwing her against a wall in a fit of rage because she wouldn’t eat her lunch.
He tried the usual tactic that the wee girl had fallen down the stairs, even going so far as not seeking medical help for her, to cover up the real cause of her injuries to avoid detection.
He’s been jailed for eleven years. Not nearly enough, in my view.

How long will it take before killing children becomes a weekly event?
I am sorry but I believe that anybody who kills another person deserves to die , especially when there is no doubt and it is a child that dies.
The only thing they learn in prison is more violence, if we executed them perhaps we could make the country a less violent place, not a place where violence & lack of control is allowed to kill innocent children , who cannot escape!
By the time he gets out that little girl would have still been a child! 
11 years for killing a child? he will be out in just over 5. dreadful!
I know I’ve said it before but I just don’t get why killing your own child or a step child seems to get a lesser sentence than killing an adult or someone else’s child
The chap who through the boy off the balcony in the gallery got 15 years, I think, and that child survived. And lots of knife murders get long sentences. Do we really think this is less serious?
And it’s a step parent again. Sorry to all the really good step parents out there, but it’s definitely a pattern. People should think carefully about letting a step parent into their children’s life and social services be aware of the potential.
It sounds as if they’ve accepted that he did it in temper and wasn’t pre-meditated. And no suggestion so far of other cruelty to the child. Although I bet there was a lot
And I dread to think how he treated the adults he was a support worker to if he could lose his temper like this with a small child
Seems such a light sentence, for me they should be castrated then left to rot in jail… 
If ever there was a need to review the length of a sentence this is it. This turd should be locked away for the rest of his days, IMHO of course.

I saw this on the TV News and wondered why this couple had been given such light sentences for killing their child but this article explains why they couldn’t be charged with murder because the cause of death could not be established.
When these cases are reported, it is so hard not to feel vengeful and wish harm on the adults who violently attack vulnerable children and babies.
This young babe had not even been brought up on the child protection radar yet but cases of cruelty to children is increasing both for children in families already flagged up to child protection services and those where issues haven’t yet been reported.
From that SkyNews article :
More than 27,300 cases of cruelty to children and young people were recorded by police in England and Wales from July 2020 to June 2021 - a 23% increase on the previous year.
There were also 536 cases of deaths or serious harm to a child where abuse or neglect was known or suspected in 2020/21 - a 19% rise on the previous 12 months.
Anyone who is found guilty of causing the death of a child through vicious and ongoing cruelty such as this should, in my honest opinion, be sterilised. Removing any future children from them at birth is just not good enough, because they surely cannot be trusted to take the care required during pregnancy to ensure the health and wellbeing of the child.
How can you mistreat an eight week old baby ?

Neighbours , friends , family school teachers .
The social worker was told numerous times why did she not believe the foster parents of the delinquent 14 year old ( brother I think of the murdering stepfather ) who warned her of his violent murderous tendencies .
Hanging is too good for these three they should be put in a hole and forgotten .
Some of these so-called social workers should be punished somehow too. Fined, or suspended from their jobs, or even sacked in the worse cases. We here this all the time about them ignoring things that eventually cost a little life.
What that boy must have gone through, both mentally and physically. That poor, poor little lad.
Apparently that evil moron even sprayed deodorant into his dogs eyes when it was recovering from an operation. Evil through and through.
