Miami is the perfect place to live, and even better for retirement. Of course, there’s also beautiful California, both the East Coast and West Coast, where you can enjoy white sandy beaches and the azure sea,truly wonderful

Not nasty or aggressive people at all but not friendliest people going and EXTREMELY superficial and other then beach area Latin America standards or rather lack of standards which are not for me and my mother was from the Caribbean island the majority here are from but it is hot / warm all year long .
My neighbors entire area are lovely people but they all agree with me , we simply all lucked out
I am looking at N.C though have been saying this for years now as on borrowed time because one day a monster hurricane is coming , so far 7 years I have been lucky .

That was my impression of Florida when a visited many years ago. But then, to be balanced, that was my impression of many parts of the US.

Yes and unlike me has experienced hurricanes but anyone who surfs not concerned about sharks I would think hurricanes no big deal .
She lives way North in the state from me .
lol yes USA is a Kim Kardashian type country but my home area of Albany though plenty of Guido’s ( Italian sub species ) was not like that but ME-AMI most certainly is and you see even older people with abdomen 6 pack implants which look mortifying and plenty here in Miami regardless of age are rather easy to manipulate by complementing them on what they drive , say they look 10 - 15 years younger then age they tell me if it comes up and plenty of other things .
I realized this fairly soon after moving here and for some reason when I do my fake UK, Australian , Scottish accents it seems to give me a flair of being honest , a Gentleman if I can go that far .

Ahhhh those were the days when Miami was alive , grotesque money and who wasn’t on the take ?
The big beach hotels were built by them .
The Cleveland Hotel ( scar face scene ) , Essex hotel were the original small beach hotels .
If I had come here younger I would have gone down the wrong road and who knows I still might .

They were a hell of an Empire but as you know impossible to hold unto so much no different then once Soviet Empire , even Roman Empire could not do it .
USA has Military bases all over but because they want us there and until China began to flex its muscle many like in Japan wanted us out .

I find the people very nice and granted no such thing as Mayberry ( Andy Griffith show ) but areas I like are quite .
As of today though sadly being built up but not as fast as Florida still lots of nature add to that mild Winters and though like the heat the 9 months of summer in Miami has gotten old .
N.C and Georgia are poised to pass Florida as a retirement state which looking for nature is not great news but still like N.C .
I am looking at hurricane safe areas and Florida bit a bad state at all and there are hurricane safe areas but Miami is certainly not such an areas .
