I received this email from Amazon today.
Now I do shop from Amazon fairly regularly but if something I buy comes from another organisation I usually contact that company (check their price) and try to buy direct from them for the same price as Amazon including postage (I pay $50 a year for Prime and free delivery). Nine times out of ten they agree to the sale, Some don’t so I buy the item from Amazon to get the free delivery.
I don’t know what percentage of the sale Amazon take but as I say most companies seem glad for the business direct because they do seem to bear the cost of postage when they sell through Amazon.
I thought it a bit ironic to find Amazon promoting small business considering their business model.
Or is that just me?
