Alpacas visiting my library recently

This was a few weeks ago when I went to my library recently. Part of a pop up exhibition by local organisations.

Nice.Apparently there are no wild Alpacas, they are all domesticated.

Didn’t know that.

some allow you to take them a walk , i think it all started when covid was on , you have to pay of course

I did mention that with the handlers. Think there must be one nearby then.

They are cute but really unless you need a mountain pack animal what use are they .
No one wears real woolly jumpers any more

i have a pair of socks made of alpaca wool and they very warm

Global warming will trash that opinion.

When I was at my library taking a book back a frog on the way out stopped me. The frog took one look at the book and said " redit redit redit".

I prefer woolly sweaters I found this online site .
Also have cotton and linen for summer High Quality Natural Wool Cardigans for Women | WoolOvers

Alpacas are gorgeous

They were very friendly and docile. Lovely stroking their necks.

Shrewd business creatures those Alpacas :icon_wink:

Aww so cute!

I wonder what books they chose to take out?

We have had the same problem with animals getting into public buildings in Australia. A Queensland pub had to ban Emus from the pub because of bad behaviour after they learned to climb steps.

How vulgar!
Brit Emus behave impeccably.

Great picture jazzi…I wonder do they spit like camels if they get agitated…they have very camel like faces. Beautiful gentle looking creatures though.

Thanks. Yes, I was told they can and do spit.
