A Tendon attaches muscles to bones.
A Ligament attaches bone to bone.

And tendons and ligaments don’t have a blood supply like muscles do, hence they take such a long time to heal once injured…Even longer than a broken bone in most cases.

Ah, that’s makes sense and explains why so many can suffer so long with an Achilles Heel … or tennis elbow.
I tend to lump them together and think of them as the strings that help move and hold the puppet up.
