Those are both gorgeous roses you too. The colours are beautiful too. I prefer pinkish roses over red ones.
My dad was very good at growing roses.

Sort of similar for me I was trying out my new camera - a Minolta reflex - rather than concentrating on the rose. That was about 30 years. The camera has long since been superseded. The picture remains on the scrap book.

I took a photo of a native lupin the other day and played with the lighting some. It’s similar to yours in that the light shines around the external petals which really stands out with the darker background. I personally like it
