Making a 70 tonne stationary tank disappear when you are walking past it I can believe.

Making it disappear when it is moving flat out is something completely different.

Well, I think this is being worked on as we speak - especially in the military & cloaking devices, but it is way beyond our ken. It isn’t something they are likely to publicise much of, especially given recent events. I found bits and bobs online, but nothing I could make sense of :017:

My thoughts exactly. Who was it that said fact is stranger than fiction? I can remember my dear departed dad saying that’s the future when we were watching an early episode of Startrek and Cpt Kirk was using his transponder to talk to Scotty. Little did we know at the time but, to all intents and purposes, we were looking at a clam-shell mobile phone about 25 years before mobile telephones even became a “real thing”.
