The critter pictured is a Bilby.
I sure do know of the Wildlife Conservancy.
They manage the Paruna Wildlife Sanctuary only a hour from Perth.
I have visited about 4 times thus far.
They do tremendous work reintroducing endangered animals into fenced predator free reserves.
