Besoeker, this link is an excellent site for identification of fungi.
At the mo, I suspect it may be what is called ‘Weeping Widow’ or otherwise, possibly the ‘Cauliflower Fungus’, but I am more in favour of the first one.

Although that doesnt look quite right, i cant see anything closer.
Otherwise perhaps Meg is right and its something growing on dog poo.

Last I heard it’s proper name was “Don’t Touch That!” No clue I have never seen fungi look that way.

Seems it that none of the images look as shaggy as your samples. They look more like Lion’s Mane Mushrooms

Only thing is Danny, is in Besoeker’s picture, the fuzzy top growth appears to grow upwards, towards the sky - not hang downwards towards the ground.
Odd looking stuff isnt it.

I thought it looked like bits of a natural sponge. Wouldn’t it be funny if it were actually bits of someone’s sponge mop
