I think these are great - although the crow’s beak looks quite intimidating!

Those photos are brilliant - and although the Crow was the star of the pics, I couldn’t help but admire that cute bird table and the pretty Dairy Jug planter - and I was intrigued by something in the foreground that looks like the back end of a small cannon - please satisfy my curiosity and tell me what it is and its history.

I bought the octagonal bird house from an Amish shop when I was working in Ohio, and mounted it on top of an octagonal stone bird table. It has suffered some storm damage so its repair is on my to do list.

The dairy jug came from a local garden centre and matches in with our like of things eclectic that includes milk cans and milk churns.

Yes it is a cannon, made from wood by my own fair hand in my workshop.
