Hi
I have a city break trip to Manchester in a couple of weeks.
I have not been there for about 10 years.
Can anyone recommend a good place to eat and somewhere to go for a quiet evening drink?
I have searched online, but the advice seems out of date and vague.
I would appreciate any help as a friend told me there are a few places that resemble the wild west by about 11pm.

Thanks for the reply, near the Arndale shopping center.

I’ll ask around. My wife says the Corn Exchange has a variety of restaurants. Or there’s Alberts Shed which is about 15 mins walk from the Arndale, or the Alchemist which is just off Picadilly Gardens.
