Baby bat surprises Glasgow couple after travelling in suitcase - BBC News
Nice one !
That’s such a nice story!
We were out on the water recently, and I opened a storage hatch on the boat only to discover two little fruit bats.
I almost missed them because they were so still and small, but it definitely and literally took the wind out of our sails. We headed back to the dock, and when they left at sunset to hunt, we sealed that boat up like a cocoon. I fretted so much about denying them their home that we installed additional bat boxes that week.
OMG…this is the first I’ve heard of bats in suitcases. So glad the creatures got returned safely.
I keep away from bats like most things Australian they are out to kill you.
Australian bat lyssavirus infection is a rare but highly fatal disease that affects the central nervous system. Australian bat lyssavirus is related to the rabies virus., which is ironic really because we don’t have rabies in the country.
Good thing that we are Scots !
