Gosh this is all bringing back old memories 0f youth and platforms and dancing around the handbag … this song was my personal mantra everytime I tackled something hard or new … good for doing the housework to as well except I’m knackered after.

For the sheer commercial profitable sound of 1974 (3 million copies), I would have to award the golden rosette to the Rubettes and their Sugar Baby Love with Paul Da Vinci (Paul Prewer) as their lead singer. Paul’s falsetto voice really made that ‘song’ the hit that it was as No 1 for 4 wks running. When Wane Bickerton wrote it, he sure did write a money spinning winner.
