I wanted to add a soundtrack to this new video I shot today.
I was on the shore line and the wind was persistent.
Adding a soundtrack should disguise the wind?

Just mute the original soundtrack. Also in an editor you can separate the soundtrack from the video so it can back another clip. I did that in my Tardis video
