1st Manned SpaceX flight

NO way, that’s what the commentator said.

COMM to Dragon lost, hard line tried but unintelligible.

ONE Hour to dragon hatch opening.

Tracking Real Time

What makes it so good about this SpaceX system is how the launch engine separates after it’s done its job, turns 180deg and then sets down again on a ship in the middle of the ocean to be used again. Superb engineering and technology.

It’s a good job there’s no urgency about this mission …

NASA Astronauts Arrive at the International Space Station on SpaceX Spacecraft

4 hours in 4 minutes - the highlights … :cool2:

Well it’s a lot better than watching bloody football anyway…
Just as long as Doug and Bob haven’t taken Covid to the Space Station…

Simply fantastic. A new era in space travel has begun.

I hope I’m around to see the manned mission to Mars.

Great site this, had a good view of ISS and Space X dragon Friday evening.

I love these historic moments. They are just breathtaking.
I thought the lift-off was marvellous and then again, when it successfully docked at the International Space Station. It was planned with such precision.
Regarding space travel, there are some very brave and clever people about these days.

Nasa SpaceX crew return: Astronauts set for ocean splashdown

US astronauts Doug Hurley and Bob Behnken have undocked their Dragon Endeavour capsule from the space station to begin their return to Earth.

The pair are expected to splash down off the coast of Florida just after 14:45 EDT (19:45 BST) on Sunday.

A successful landing would mean America once again has a fully serviceable, fully certified means of getting its own people into orbit and back.

:023:

I hope they arrive back safely.

Having said that - I can think of a few they should put into orbit - and leave there!

Splashdown scheduled at 2:48 p.m. EDT (19:48 BST)

Just entered comms blackout.

Comms re-established.

Capsule visible - drogue chutes deployed.

Drogue chutes discarded - main chutes deployed.

Splashdown … :!:

Return to the Moon and Mars the goal now. They believe the first to go to Mars has been born.

The next step to be taken.
NASA has just announced that SpaceX will launch 4 men into orbit and to dock with the space station on October 23rd at 5:47 pm EDT.
I hope to see the next moon landing and a permanent base set-up.

Onward and upwards.

Biggest share holder in Axiom is C5 capital, South African. Spacex Elon also ex South African.
