Only 100 days left to use any paper versions of £20 & £50 notes. After that only the plasticky ones will be accepted in shops So if you have any cash under your mattress from ten or twenty years ago you might want to get to the bank :
Bloody hell I have £780 of the damn things because the borders were closed so did all the foreign exchange places.

Panic headlines again. Even after the 100 days are over, you’ll still be able to exchange the old notes for new ones at your bank branch or at the BoE.
