What amazing pictures thanks for posting these Barry .
I saw this on tonights news, I am so glad they aren’t going to touch it, just going to leave it alone where it is.
Not allowed to touch it as it is protected under international law.
The story of Shackleton’s escape from the ice and the survival of the crew is a tale worth reading.
It certainly is @Bruce , read the book and seen the documentary, I’m just gobsmacked that they managed to find the Endurance, and on the 100th anniversary of Shackleton’s burial as well, a great finale to the story…
This is a bit of an odd case since usually ships are left alone if they’re likely to have bodies within them and that their might be some living relatives within a certain number of generations still knocking around. That’s what was explained to me ages ago, which is why some craft like the Mary Rose could be lifted, but it doesn’t explain why artefacts from the titanic were allowed.
But anyway the endurance was deserted when it went under.
According to the news last night the ship will be left where it is.
I think I am the wrong Bruce @Barry (I am not complaining just pointing it out)
