Would You Like To Give Liz Truss... A Big Hug?

My 96 year old aunt and WI stalwart for most of her life would be most offended.

Hug a Tory? No thanks. They seem have a very contagious virus that turns you into a muppet.

I’d certainly like to give Liz a great big hug! What a great figure! Phoarrrrrr. :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

Nobody gave her and Kwazi a chance with their mini budget Zuleika, they were voted in by a majority of tory party members who were confident that the unconventional mini budget would work, it just needed time. But they were obviously overruled by a much bigger power than even the Prime Minister of the UK. Jeremy hunt was one of the first contenders to be voted off the race to become the next PM…And now he’s practically running the country…Why is that?

Er, because those who voted for Truss need to be sectioned under the mental health act because they are just as barmy as she is?

Of course Dex, if we can’t find a reason why people have done something we don’t agree with, we can just call them mental or conspiracy theorists. It saves a lot of wasted time looking for answers and ends any discussion.

If it was such a great plan, then why has nobody acted on it before? The answer is that it was either a mad plan destined to fail due to its own potentially flawed logic, or it would never have been allowed to work (due to the big players you thing exist), in which case it was insane to try, since they knew their reputation would be trashed.

Either way foxy, it was a bonkers thing to do and those who endorsed it must surely have been a bit short of a full picnic.

I don’t think Truss knew what she was up against Dex. The trouble is…Which ever leader of which ever party will always come up against the same obstacles.

It does make one wonder why she failed to reflect on why nobody had tried her ideas out before. Or rather that those who did try similar approaches ended up showing that it either failed, or wasn’t allowed to succeed (depending on ones view).

Perhaps he had the vaccine that stops you turning into a muppet?

I could work on and spin a conspiracy theory OGF but I won’t .
He was invited by LT to be her chancellor.yes? She was in trouble?
I told you previously he helped her …out of that trouble ? But you disagree saying he wanted her job ?
If she was aware of that why did she invite him in ?
Obviously she had to accept him trashing her aspirations shall we say . That’s why he’s de facto PM …because he is at least in reality . In my opinion of course .

Not likely … :scream_cat:

LT was blinking a lot, too …

… to divert the attention of the public away from other issues.

Hmmm I wonder what that could be.

Foxy, Stop making excuses for her. She’s been in politics for long enough to know what goes on …the bottom line is … she just couldn’t hack it.
She thought if she donned a blue suit and kept chanting ā€˜This lady is not for turning’, she’d walk it but she was out of her depth.
If you start out now, you might be in time to give her a hug as she’s in for a tough ride this morning.
