Would you go out shopping

Doesn’t bother me to be honest Pesta, how ridiculous I look, I wear it for me, not because of how others see me in it…it sounds like you and I are alike…I grew out of how others view me a while back, my son thinks I look stupid in it, but there it is…

There’s worse monstrosities to wear on the head …

What about fascinators … some of them look truly awful and ugly.

Yes, I agree.

Morti, dreadful aren’t they :091:

I can imagine some women getting their head stuck in doors … just as well you never see revolving doors anymore.

And I like a small streak of colour and then.
That’s the only time I use my baseball hat. I have many hats but I don’t wear any indoors.

Not sure what defines a baseball cap but I certainly wear a hat every time I go out otherwise the sun burns my head.

Perhaps I should look for a new one they are starting to look a bit stained and shabby!

I usually wear one of these depending on which one comes to hand the quickest.

When I am travelling, because I then spend a lot more time outside, I tend to wear my Akubra because of its broad brim

@Bratti - do you really have blue hair - or is that a trick of the light?

I occa1sionally wear a north face 66 cap if I go hiking and it rains. But not sure if I will still want to wear it in ten years time.

I’ve go one streak of blue on the right hand side of my fringe. The rest of my fringe is under my hat since the wind still catches it. I’ve got pink, purple, blue and rose gold but I only do a streak occasionally. I like it. The rest of my hair is shiny silver snd light auburn.

Sounds good!

As Bruce has depicted caps are a common head gear in oz or have become so and worn almost as often by females as males - but for more formal attire then the Akubra is often chosen [more by men] and those rather nasty straw sun hats favoured by the very elderly!!

To complete the picture my Akubra stays in my car where it is conveniently located behind the drivers seat, ready for instant use :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:.

What you can’t see is that inside it is a fly net for when the flies are unbearable. Not something you would wear when just going shopping.
