Every time I watch a match I have consternation running through my mind.
During the game what is the thing that stands out the most?
Players and spectators yelling -“Ref…Ref…Ref”
Shut up and let the Ref ref the game. Don’t like it? Take up the task yourself, become a Ref.
Offside - Seems to me that this rule penalises the attacking side too much.
Supposedly in place to stop sides pumping the ball into a crowded goal square. Still seems to me that it overly penalises the attacking side.
Players diving - trying to elicit a free kick. Not in the spirit of the game. If you got to dive to get a kick, get off the ground.
Players feigning injury. So many players squeal out in “pain” only to get up with nothing wrong with them.
Trying to dupe the ref, get real you posers.
With The Draw now having been published.
Mighty glad to see Both Eng & Sco are in different sectors.
It would have been a travesty, if both had to face each other in the early stages.
Despite both having chunky hurdles
Croatia v Eng
And the big one.
Sco v Brazil.
Here’s hoping Sco .Can do themselves Proud Again.
Do you have the match USA vs Australia in mind? If so, isn’t that on 13 June.
The opponents for Canada and South Korea on 12 June have yet to be determined. Right?
I have no idea why I wrote the 12th. The match I am thinking of is the 19th and the game will be in Seattle, Washington, so there should be a good turnout of Aussie fans.
Again? Do not mention Ally’s tartan army, please! I know that Gemmill’s goal was a beauty but it was too little, too late.
But after the match of the century (so far) against Denmark we Scots have a tiny, tiny bit of hope that we can at least do ok. That game saw three goals as good as Gemmill’s. Unfortunately, as the saying goes, it’s the hope that kills us…
