Willow has asked me to pass on her thanks to those who enquired about her health yesterday.
Nemo woke me up, at some ungodly hour, by trampolining on my stomach and pulling my hair - to alert me to the fact Willow was poorly. She had been gloriously sick all over the kitchen floor, her temperature and pulse rate were both through the roof, and she had a small hyperpyrexic fit. I wrapped her in a cool, wet towel, ladled water down her throat, and just kept cuddling her. Knew she was feeling better when she growled at me for rumpling her fur.
Once her temp and pulse rate returned to normal I let her go back to her bed. Nemo washed her face and ears - obviously I had dirtied them with my ministrations - and she fell asleep with him looking after her.
I went out and did some shopping - when I came home she was up, alert, and about to call Cat’s Protection people to say I had gone out and left her to starve!
What an awful experience for Willow & you Tabby, have you any idea what may have caused it?
I hope it isn’t something you have to deal with again , but well done Nemo for alerting you.
Not sure what caused it, Twink. Cats are sometimes sick for no apparent reason but, when it happens with Willow, she takes it as personal affront and becomes very distressed about it. Anyway - she is fine again now and issuing instructions about CH, food supplies, and ‘Dreamies’ - so all is well that ends well.
