Getting back on topic…
Maybe it’s got something to do with women’s natural desires? In the book Civilised to Death he talks about how our ancestors went about having children - they didn’t have one-partner ties, instead, women would sleep with all the men who’s attributes she wanted for that particular child. A funny guy if she wanted the child to be funny, mixed in with a strong one to have his particular features, a clever one too maybe. In other words she would have multiple partners, and the child didn’t ‘belong’ to any single parent or couple, but became the child of the community*.
*He goes on too - talking about they’ve studied hunter gatherer tribes and where when a child cries it is picked up within 7 seconds… and not put back down until it stops crying (the family unit take it in turns to hold the child). He contrasts that with what happens in the West, where babies are quickly put in their own rooms and many end up crying all night. He says is there any wonder why people in the West crave attention.
Maybe the modern two parent family unit is just another form of control - most govts and religions just want people to breed soldiers n slaves, soldiers n slaves…

Perhaps that’s because sex is just another thing to do for a man, like reading a book or listening to music…Whereas a woman needs to love her bloke…
I suppose for every cheating man there has to be a woman encouraging it. I would expect most single women would know of the marriage and some women are married themselves.
