When You Have A Bath Or Shower

What’s wrong with water? I don’t use soap just warm water on a muslin cloth. I also keep a bottle of Cetaphil cleansing cream which I use about once a week.

those wipes are supposed to be biodegradable but I bet they take a long time to do so and in the meantime it’s just more gunk for landfill.

I like and use Imperial Leather at the moment because they do not test either ingredients or the finished product on animals - they use human volunteers or in vitro tests. However this may change. They are closing their Nottingham factory and relocating to ‘Asia’ - which a a big place and many of the countries which comprise Asia still require animal testing by law. I may have to find another soap!

So how long do they last?

haha! OGF some of the ladies here would be very interested if you set up a cam in your bathroom!

Just a tablet of soap.

I have been using those wipes on my face, for at least 30 yrs, Annie, I find the cleansing lotions rather greasy.

I use all types of products on my body, I don’t stick to the same one, on saying that,I do use Sanex quite a lot, I also use Radox.

What’s wrong with water,”on my face” I can’t stand it on my face, plus it dries my skin out,…that’s why I use wipes.

I was wondering how long a pack lasts.

I’ve been using calendula cleanser for over 10 years and hardly ever use use water on my face. I also stopped using many known brands around the same time. I try to use organic paraben-free and that’s also why I use ecover washing powder/washing up liquid. It was all because of sensitive skin and I can vouch for the fact that cutting out all these brands heals much skin irritation. Nivea creme is fine though. Also cheap and very effective. I don’t use things like wipes because they have plastics that end up in landfill. I use cotton wool pads.

it’s also very drying. If you use water and soap to scrub your face and then apply a chemical based moisturiser or make up the skin’s natural defence is gone and it’s more likely to react to what you put on it. I used to sometimes experience a “chemical burn” type reaction on the delicate skin around the eye area.

Annie, I don’t know how long they last, I’ve never kept an eye on that, all I know is, they keep my skin in good order.

Off topic, that cyst I had burst on it’s own, what a relief that was.:weary:

They are a major cause of fatbergs in the sewers .

I used to use Johnson and Johnson, then tried these Simple cleansing wipes, which suit my skin perfectly…so,will continue to use these.

Just don’t put them down the loo .

I never put them down the loo, only toilet paper, can’t believe what I’ve been told by a person who unblocked my bath once, …I couldn’t believe what he told me,:weary:

Yes, I learnt about the hair, that’s what blocked my bath…at one time my son used gel on his hair ,that was another reason it got blocked, I could not believe how it builds up.

I don’t have a usable bath right now only a shower…I shower every day and wash my hair soaping it up with the shampoo I use the shampoo to soap up all my body including my face…only one product used and job done. Well what do you expect im from Yorkshire

I asked because I wanted to make a comparison on Value for money. I just looked at the pack in your pic and 20 wipes x 2 a day would be 10 days so you would be paying £9 a month on average. I pay £17 for the neal’s yard cleanser but it lasts about 3 months for a tube or even longer. You only use a tiny amount each time.

They do hair and body shampoo these days or even shampoo soap bars. It’s supposed to be v eco friendly to use just one product.
