I like honey and I like mild-ish chilli in small amounts but I’m not sure I’d fancy both flavours together.
My recent great food taste discovery was this weekend. I bought some miniature potatoes, grown in Lincolnshire, England. They looked a bit like salad type new potatoes, which was surprising for this time of year in U.K…
They were really small, with a smooth tender outer skin and slightly yellow-ish flesh - and they were packed full of delicious flavour.
They were called “Baby Lou” potatoes.
I just cooked them in simmering water for 15 minutes and they were simply the best tasting potatoes I have ever eaten, both in texture and flavour.

Last great find was a reasonably well priced (7 euros) very tasty chardonnay from Limoux in France. I kept buying it, bottle or two each week, and then it ran out. A week later the manager of the small, local supermarket came up to me and apologised ! He had clocked that I was the one buying all of that wine. He promised more stock and a couple of weeks later bottles were back on the shelf. Happy days.
