Hi everyone, I’m Bruce. I’m still working, but when I’m not working I enjoy spending time outdoors, working in the garden, and relaxing with my pets. I have a cat and a dog, so there’s usually something going on around here
.
I joined because I enjoy meeting new people and having good conversations. I think at this point in life, having genuine people to talk to and share a laugh with is important.
So let me ask everyone something: What’s one thing you enjoy doing that always puts you in a good mood?
I’ll go first — for me, it’s getting outside and doing something in the garden. ![]()

Hi Bruce, welcome, as I’m recently retired I’m constantly in a good mood
Hi Bruce. I’m retired so for me it is having my lovely wife, good neighbours - and our lovely wee dog.
I enjoy a nice solitairy walk … even better if it’s in the rain or windy.
And once snuggled back inside in my furry slippers I enjoy a bit of choclate or dunking biccies.
And music … that evokes so many feelings it has to be on the list for happiness.
not having “er indoors” nagging me
I could nag you instead if you feel lost without it. ![]()
For me, it’s being outside winter or summer, walking, watching the clouds change shape in a blink of an eye, whistling back at the birds in the trees, and taking deep breaths of fresh air! No matter which direction I go, (the park, side streets, neighborhoods, or a walkway in another town, I feel refreshed and revived.
Hello Dennis and welcome
walking along by the sea always puts me in a good mood
There’s a few seem to like walking…
I don’t think you can beat it. It helps clear the mind and recharge your batteries.
I like sitting in my local graveyard and watching the squirrels there.
Me too, especially when the dog helps.
