What kind of pillows do you have?

I recently bought some 100% wool pillows:

And love them!

They join my lower set of pillows which are duck feather pillows.

I did originally buy a set of additional duck feather pillows, but despite their premium price tag they smelt awful! So sent them back. Here’s a link in case anyone’s interested - maybe I was just unlucky:

(You should not use duck feather bedding or pillows if they have a noticeable smell of duck)

Anyway, curious what you all have - and remember, you really do not want polyester pillows (which are basically plastic, specifically synthetic fibers derived from petroleum).

Mrs Fox is allergic to feather down pillows and they make her cough.
I’m not sure about wool Azz…Never tried them, however, I like a firm pillow and sleep with just one pillow filled with memory foam.

I think both you and Mrs Fox might like the Slumberdown Wool pillows Bob - they’re naturally hypoallergenic and a decent firmness. I would ditch the memory foam pillows tbh, off-gassing from polyurethane foam products are a potential health hazard…

I’ve stopped even thinking of feather and down quilts or pillows since I found out so many contain feathers that are removed from the birds when they are still alive. It’s hopefully easier to find cruelty free ones now but how can you really check the conditions of these poor birds.

The best pillows I have found recently are the kingsized ones filled with microfibre. They are nice and long so you don’t run out of pillow. Very comfy. Only annoyance is that you need new pillow covers.

Azz. Help me out. Is it true that why the Welsh and the Scottish wear kilts? Is it because the sheep have got used to the sound of zips. :017:

My Grand daughter is a manager at Dunelm Annie, I’ll put in a good word for you if you like…

Keep in mind microfibre is just a fancy name for a type of polyester Annie - it’s still made from polyurethane.

What about the wool pillows? I wish I’d picked up a pair a lot sooner now, definitely the best pillows I’ve owned, and great that they’re environmentally friendly as well as being healthy :icon_biggrin:

I can not stand beds nor man made pillows and yes I am divorced , lol

I have 2 bedrooms in my house but untouched as sleep on the sofa in the den watching tv and my pillow is towels stuffed into a pillow case which has a zipper and then put another pillow case over that .
From 9 pm to 11 pm watch Everybody Loves Raymond and then half hour of Kings of Queens , on weekends we go out on a friends food truck so my schedule is ruined but now 4 glorious nights of it .
