A lot. Images from my Canon usually run about 6 megs in PSP. The memory card is 32Gb - and I have a spare.
So about 50,000 images. I also download the images to a DVD once a month and clear the camera.
taken today 15/2/2019 at Sheffield park with my Nikon D810 and 24-70mm lens
Hand held
cropped above and enlarged. No not taken closer, from the same spot ,same lens.
Besoeker
Yes a 6 MP camera can take good photos until, you want to enlarge or crop, then you loose detail. I had a 6mp camera and found it very restricting in its capabilities. (Nikon D70s).
My problem was trying to get pictures of birds nesting on an island in the middle of a lake. Yes a larger zoom lens might have helped but that then meant carrying a couple of lenses and risk of dust on the sensor when swapping them over
With my D810 36 Mp camera I can crop and enlarge, as shown above. Same photo with no or little loss of clarity.
This is one of the reasons I went for this particular camera.
Admittedly I can get nowhere near the same number of shots as yours
extract from exif data for that photo is 74 mp In NEF (RAW)
The cropped version even shows up more in that section than the whole picture above it.
of course if you have a good camera then one must also have a good lens . No good with a consumer lens on a pro camera.
This setup of mine even needed fine tuning I mentioned before elsewhere
Signs of Spring - spotted this morning.
I took a picture with my phone of a water leak on the footpath in the shopping centre to send to Sydney Water to get it fixed.
Exciting eh?
Today a new battery arrived from China. I know China and their cheap copies
But nikon have their batteries of this type made in Japan and pack assembled in China. So think it is so far a genuine one. It works and is now fully charged, so have to do some test shots with it
I’m doing a monthly challenge on another website, five pix max per month. The March theme is colour …
A couple from BBC media centre
East End …
That should be on the boring thread.
Just a waste that is! Turned on but nothing plugged in? Your electric bill must be phenomenal. It’s even escaping out through that crack.
Evidently leccy is not your forte…
Just for the record, that “crack” is actually and escaped dog hair and it is close to the earth pin which doesn’t leak electricity since it is not live.
Perhaps the picture is a metaphor for Brexit.
At least we kept UK style sockets…
But bowed down to the stupid wire colours…
It’s not an MK or Crabtree, probably a Volex.
One switch looks a bit rough, should replace it really.
I was thinking more on the lines of parliament handling Brexit.
Potential source of power but not connected to anything useful, switches opposing each other, and the whole thing possibly not connected to earth.
