Here’s a one minute video explaining all.

Focus stacking does really make a difference. Not sure if the Olympus has the capabilities yet. I have a macro lens though, and still need to explore its capabilities.
this can be also done on my Panasonic DC-TZ95 but not tried doing it yet
Been to a Lavender Farm today.
Note the exotic looking plant on the left!
In the centre is the biggest agapanthus head I have ever seen!
Were you able to buy any at all? I bet the smell was fabulous!
A bunch of 12 stalks of dried Lavender was £8:50p ( rip off 2 ) so - no - I didn’t buy any of that. I did buy a Lavender plant for the garden and some more herbs for the kitchen window sill.
You are right about the smell though, Pixie, it was a warm day and it smelled wonderful. Would like to have walked in the main garden - which used to be free but is now £7:50p ( rip off 3 ) so we didn’t do that either!!
Err…what?? I know people are struggling but c’mon…thats steep
You think that is steep? You haven’t read rip off 1 yet then - three cups of coffee, three tiny pieces of cake = £25.
They have just lost three customers.
You’re brave having a gum tree in your garden. I hope it is not too close to the house.
No, it isn’t close to the house. My wife has commented on it a few times saying that can take over the garden. That said, the dog breaks it off regularly when he chases the magpies.
I’d keep that pruned if I were you Besoeker.
See here:
" Since the tree’s lateral roots spread up to 100 feet (30.5 m.) out, they can grow into ditches, plumbing pipes and septic tanks, damaging and cracking them. In fact, eucalyptus roots penetrating foundations is a common complaint when trees are placed too close to the home."
Yes, good information. Thanks Mups.
The problem with gum trees is that one of their preservation features when under stress is that they drop branches and I mean big branches. Big enough to kill someone or severely damage a house.
