Is that from your mirrorless camera d00d?
Wondering whether to try one.
Great shot mate and that is a Large Tortoisehell - not that common. UK Butterflies - Large Tortoiseshell - Nymphalis polychloros Perhaps you could inform the Butterfly conservation people in your area - you might find some more info here https://butterfly-conservation.org/ They would be very interested
That’s nice. But the butterfly’s are a good subject.
All I get is flies.
Yes. I think you should.
Panasonic gear.
When you’re ready and able to fork out the dosh (Panasonic is good value imo) I’ll let you know what the options are.
Nice shot.
Never checked which it was, there were two on the Buddleia.
Wow !!! - lucky you. More pics if you can please
Cant see where to add the Tortoiseshell.
Apparently its a small tortoiseshell, the two small dots on the wings give it away, the large has 4 apparently.
Still around today.

White butterfly. My first attempt at close up photography.
My apologies Barrie and they are correct. Good shot though - crisp, clean, the correct exposure and in focus
Nice shot scot and well done
Love the new photo’s, they are beautiful.
Both Waterlilies are flowering.
Clouds. Mares tails.
Thanks gasman but more than a bit short of your standard I’m afraid
That’s a good one Emjay. It would make a nice background for writing and other images, perhaps on a card or something.
I took a picture of my entire toilet roll collection.
All ready for the next pandemic.
I’ve still got 3 rolls left.
I took a pic of my Jellycat collection.
Some from my morning walk, taken with phone camera.
