The last one I wanted to be was my ādadā for he was lean, weak, and all he was capable of was cheating my mum, wasting our money including his inheritance by attending national boxing and car racing events wherever they took place, and by boozing, the stuff for which me and my twin brother had to provide. No wonder that he died early when we were aged 10. For our mother the best time of her life began.
Itās fair to say I grew up without a father but didnāt miss one either.
As a teenager I was stumbling through life without the faintest idea of what I wanted to be. Frankly, I never did and I wouldnāt even know it today.
