Sometimes I inadvertently leave a morsel of food on the kitchen counter.
When I rise at 4am there is a line of ants cleaning up the morsel.
Do ants ever sleep?

I am guessing all creatures sleep at some point Bretrick.,

Some of the ants in our garden if they think it’s going to rain build walls around the entrance to their nest.

Very clever little insects are ants. We also have quite a few around here, they love sandy soil and our estate was built on a sand quarry. Red ants live in the lawn, can’t get rid of them without desecrating the lawn. And the black ants live in the borders and round the house…But not in, I’m wise to their little incursions…
