What a great place Venice is and we were so lucky with the weather. It was in the 20’s every day apart from Monday, when we came home.
Realist - we went to the Povoledo and loved it We had an 8pm booking, but got there far to early. Had a chat with the manager and he showed us to our table, no problems. Many thanks for the recommendation, even though we were staying right by St Marks, it made it all worth while getting there.

I’ve never had the pleasure of seeing Venice by night all lit up like that. Must have been lovely. Did you try the Aperol Spritz?
Lovely. I am currently saving my pennies and brushing up my Italian with a view to going to Puglia next year
Venice by night is amazing, just as the daytime, but darker 
We did try a few Aperol Spritz and it is quite pleasant. We bought a bottle home with us. We have friends over tomorrow night that visited Venice a couple of weeks before we did. So, we shall have an Aperol to welcome them, then Italian food and drink all night. We even bought home 4 cheap White masks for a bit of a laugh. Thanks again for the heads up.
I’ll post a couple of other piccys soon. Just one thing, I managed to get the photos on here, but the thumbnail images were still there - any clues to what I am doing wrong?

We took a day trip there a few years ago but weren’t fortunate to see Venice at night time, it must be quite spectacular.
Thanks Mags for your comments and they are appreciated. Venice at night is awesome, but, I wanted a reason why I still had thumbnails and a main photo in my thread.
I’m not sure why a main photo and the thumbnail shows, Steve … I still use Photobucket for my photos
