They have Billy Cart races here too but they are more rural, they are pretty exciting
Port Kembla used to hold them on the main street but it was very steep and they abandoned it about a decade ago

It is almost comical some of the videos the YouTube algorithym comes up with based on your viewing.
Some time ago I watched a Japanese video on the high speed train, I can only assume there was a trigger word like “band” or something similar because lately YouTube has been bombarding my recommended files with Japanese high school marching bands (I suppose it could be from watching Tuba Skinny but that is a tenuous link). Even worse once you even look at one for a few seconds you get heaps of them

I don’t know where anyone got the idea that high school marching band would be a good idea but they are very enthusiastic and play well. I am not suggesting you watch them or at least no more than a few seconds they go on and on but a few minutes of the first one is more than enough to get the idea. They seem to be mostly girls with a very few blokes thrown in

@Bruce they will go away if you ignore them, but quicker way is to say that you’re not interested in them.

Yes, I must admit I watched most of the first one because I just couldn’t believe it as a thing that high schools did because it does appear to be a competitive thing. My kids learned musical instruments at high school and played competitive sports but never combined the two.
I still really don’t know why they originally popped up other than for the reasons I suggested in my post. Just to keep on the topic this is one that I do understand why it popped up but who knew that Emma Wiggle was so good at maths?

This is something that really has to be felt in person to understand the rivalry on both sides of the border …watch and try to take in the atmosphere.

Eagle cam. I find it relaxing to watch. She is sitting on two or three eggs. Can’t wait for them to hatch.
