They didn’t cooperate with each other sufficiently to survive. Homo sapiens populated the world because they were able to work together to overcome challenges.
Not easy for us to understand the alternative universe because we basically have it all on a plate these days…
If Thatcher was the best PM in the UK isn’t that a terrible indictment of the country’s government and its political system?
Every decade since the 1950s Britain has had at least one recession, Thatcher did nothing to stop that, she did nothing to reconfigure the economic system she merely attacked and broke the social fabric of the country.
If she was the best PM you have had then the future is looking pretty bleak.
The economy cycles are one hundred percent due to Socialist governments spending money we didn’t have and Capitalist governments having to solve the mess they created.
Margaret Thatcher was a brilliant PM, but she couldn’t do miracles.
I didn’t agree with everything she did, but on average she beat any other PM hands down.
You were right about our government and the political system though Bruce, there are too many backstabbers and gravy train passengers, both then and now. Loyalty seems to be a rare commodity now.
I thought you were having a joke but I investigated and discovered it is absolutely true, they are kept contained in a small area in a building behind a high fence at a secret location in Canberra. Luckily I found a picture.
When it comes to Neanderthals I suspect you’re rather out of date. Researches on them show that while built like brick outhouses they were highly intelligent, lived in small hunting tribes that cooperated together, fabricated tools, made decorative items, and even buried their dead.
It was tribes of relatively uncivilised savages invading this early European civilised population, a population that had evolved to live in a difficult climate compared to Africa and so had evolved to have greater brain capacity, that killed off the more gentle Neanderthal European population.
Surely I don’t need to clarify this for you, do I?
We, the British, need to work together to improve our lot. We can also work with others who we feel are capable and willing to work with us for our common benefit, but it stands to reason that we cannot - and must not - attempt to work with people who are constantly working against us.
Some of the EU countries, and certainly the EU’s rulers, are not of that sort. It has become absolutely clear that the Frogs especially are without any doubt acting as our enemies. I would never trust them as allies and would not risk working with them in any way.
Sorry JBR, I think Annie was referring to the Human Race in general, not just the good folks of dear old Blighty, when comparing Neanderthals With Homo Sapiens.
They weren’t stupid. The evidence is otherwise. Small isolated tribes, not sophisticated networks across large areas. A lack of an adventurous spirit and isolation is evident in research. They were anti social. Inbreeding was common. That immediately leads to health risks and frailty of the gene pool.
There are neanderthal genes in many European and Asian populations.
Homo Sapiens have survived and thrived because we are highly curious about the outside world, we live in social groups and have an adventurous spirit. Our curiosity and sociability breaks down cultural barriers. But we retain a strong tribal mentality that leads to conflict and competition. If you put a few humans in a room they will immediately form different social groups.
Which is why it is WRONG to attack racists. Racism in NATURAL and not only can not be eliminated, no attempt should be made to even attempt to. A dog eat dog society ensures those less fitted to control do not get in the way of those who are best fitted. It’s why Socialism is a retrograde thing and thoroughly bad for society.
And that’s what Maggie had no understanding of or that we could sell our knowledge to the world if we had kept it alive. She abandoned one of our greatest strengths - being a greengrocer’s daughter she thought she knew it all - apples and potatoes were as far as she went.
