That is a possibility, but, now Nanny is involved, I doubt it
As near as dammit to what we’ve done.
Greed is good, and it is, is just starting to take off again. The so called stability in financial dealing has been a bloody disaster. Stability takes away so much opportunity to speculate and by so doing really prosper or go tits up.
The result of that charlatan Brown and “I’ve broken the boom and bust” has been terrible. Boom and bust was the breathing of the economy. One day you could be the dog, next day you could find yourself the lamp post but as long as you managed your affairs to maximise dog and minimise lamp post it was great. Brown broke that. Fortunately a few people read the runes and adapted to what was needed to escape Brown-Economics but by the time Labour was kicked out the damage was done.

I wasn’t being critical, but you did ask!
I am guessing that some parts of Britain’s economy are booming. it’s when you take the aggregate then it’s likely to look bad. Time will tell. The number of people losing jobs here is growing, companies are folding.
Je Maintiendrai
My car is due a service!
I will maintain
The motto ‘Je Maintiendrai’ (I will maintain) has been the motto of the House of Orange-Nassau since the time of William of Orange. … In 1815 King Willem I incorporated this motto into the royal arms.
Just incase you were like me and didn’t have a clue what it meant…
Schools in a sixties South Yorkshire mining village aren’t exactly Eton are they…
Exactly. He obviously missed my point - or couldn’t be bothered to look it up!
Loosely translated as: “we can take it”.
Nothing to do with car maintenance!
My place of learning has been demolished, so, now its down to personal accounts and individual experience, like most things in Life.
A Stern Building says so much, does it not?
That’s A Stern, not Astern, BTW.
