“It’s the Met Police who’s caused all this because the police shouldn’t issue fines retrospectively.”

Is that just for COVID or would that include fines for motoring offences, too?

I’ve got no idea.

All I know is that most police forces had a condition that they didn’t issue FPNs retrospectively for covid.

They would tell people to break up the gathering or whatever rule it was that they were breaking and give advice. If people argued then they would be issued with an FPN.

If they gave out fines retrospectively can you imagine what their workload would be like. People who were friends and then fall out months later reporting a misdemeanour that occurred whilst they were friends.

Which is exactly what’s happened with Cummings.

Both the Boris birthday cake and Starmer’s beergate were in the news for everybody to see at the time. Although what should have happened is, they should have been reported to the police at the time, the police go round and tell them to disperse and if they argued then they would have been issued with an FPN.

Hi

Many of the Parties being investigated were held after Cummings resigned.

Cummings didn’t resign, Boris kicked him out. And that was my point, Cummings is doing it as revenge.

Hi

My point is that Cummings had left Government and No 10 before a number of parties now being investigated were held.

He may well be responsible for leaking information, but not for all the parties under investigation.

ROFPML

And what about all the staff he employed?

wendeey, are you an influencer?

And there was me thinking only the D Mail was carrying this article because I hadn’t found it elsewhere (not that I was looking that hard I must admit).

Well, it’s not about Beergate, it’s about politics so, naturally, other Tory rags are interested …

Metropolitan Police confirm no further partygate fines for the Prime Minister.

All eyes on Sir Kier Starmer, that is, if you can see him all the way up there on his high horse

They should throw the book at him, even if his “crime” doesn’t warrant it. The sooner he is compelled to resign, the sooner we get an opportunity to put Labour back in capable socialist hands, and get a credible opposition to our current appalling government. Let us stand together, Bread, and raise our voices in unison the removal of Starmer.

Starmer out, starmer out! :triumph:

Let’s hope Corbyn gets back in.

In your dreams. :slightly_smiling_face:
